Agninakshatra — Mashru Silk Chanderi Saree with Zari Border and Floral Pendant Butis    Magenta like a temple in full bloom. Gold like an offering. Worn like a celebration that hasn't ended yet.

The Agninakshatra is an exclusive Mashru Silk Chanderi Saree from the looms of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh  a sibling to the Chandrabhāgā in craft and origin, but entirely different in spirit. Where the Chandrabhāgā whispers, this one sings. Same weaving tradition, same seven centuries of mastery channelled here into a colour and composition that is pure, unapologetic festivity.

The fabric blazes in deep Magenta not pink, not purple, but that rare, sovereign tone that sits exactly between the two and belongs entirely to itself. The characteristic Chanderi shimmer runs through every inch that soft, diffused luminosity born from the interplay of Mashru Silk and fine weave, making the magenta appear to glow from within rather than simply reflect light. Framing the entire drape is a bold coral-red border edged in gold zari — a pairing that should not work and yet works completely, the warmth of the red pulling the magenta toward fire, the gold zari holding the whole composition like a frame around a painting.

Across the magenta field, the weavers have placed floral pendant butis — hanging forms that suggest a flower or fruit suspended from a delicate gold zari stem, their rounded heads dense with silver-white and gold thread work, catching light as the fabric moves. They are placed with the spacing and confidence that only an experienced Chanderi weaver knows — enough to fill the eye, never enough to crowd it.

This is the saree for the woman who walks into a wedding and does not need to ask where the celebration is. She is it.
Pair with kundan, polki, or antique gold jewellery. A deep red, gold, or even black blouse will frame this saree with authority. For a more unexpected pairing, a deep forest green or midnight blue blouse will make the magenta electric.

Care Instructions
Mashru Silk Chanderi is among the most delicate of all Indian weaves — its fineness is its glory and its vulnerability in equal measure.

Dry Clean Only — do not machine or hand wash; the fine Mashru Silk and zari threads are both vulnerable to water and agitation

Iron on minimum temperature — always on the reverse side with a thin cloth barrier; direct heat can flatten the woven butis and damage the zari permanently
Store folded in soft muslin — never hang a Chanderi saree; the weight of the zari border can stretch the fine fabric over time

Avoid direct contact with perfume or deodorant — spray well before draping to protect both the silk and the zari
Handle with clean, dry hands — the gossamer Chanderi weave can snag very easily on rough surfaces or jewellery

Keep away from prolonged sunlight — to preserve the depth of the Magenta and the lustre of the gold zari

Blouse piece: Dry wash only"
