There is a colour that Sanskrit poets reserved for the tip of a flame — not the red at its base, nor the blue at its heart, but the burnished orange-gold at its very peak, where fire seems to breathe. They called it agnishikha, "flame-crest," and used it for anything that seemed to hold light within itself rather than merely reflect it. This saree carries that same inner glow.

Woven in burnt rust-orange, the fabric carries the sheer, breathable lightness muslin has been prized for across centuries — fine horizontal thread lines run through the body like the faint lines of woven silk brocade, catching the light as the fabric moves, with tiny gold sequins scattered throughout like embers caught mid-air.
