Product Details

Kamakshi — she of the loving eyes — is a name drawn from the goddess revered in Kanchipuram, associated with grace, beauty, and quiet devotion. It's a fitting name for a saree that carries its charm gently, in soft mauve tones and delicate woven detail rather than bold statement.

Woven in raw mango silk, the fabric holds its signature slubbed texture and structured drape — a weave valued for its natural sheen and substantial body, giving the saree a graceful weight without ever feeling heavy. Across the mauve-pink ground, delicate floral sprigs in tonal gold, dusty blue, and small pops of coral and violet are scattered evenly, like petals caught mid-fall. The border carries a distinctive rippling wave motif in antique gold zari, interspersed with rounded dandelion-like blossoms woven in soft powder-blue and gold — a design that feels both organic and architectural.

The pallu deepens into a rich diamond-lattice zari weave in warm copper-gold, densely patterned and framed by the same wave-and-blossom border that runs along the saree's edge. The interplay of the muted mauve body against the warm gold zari gives this saree a soft, wearable richness — festive without being overstated.

This is a saree for the woman who prefers her elegance quiet — one that speaks through texture and detail rather than boldness alone.

Pair with oxidised silver, rose gold, or pearl jewellery for an understated festive look. A contrasting blouse in deep maroon, gold, or dusty blue will let the woven motifs take centre stage.

Care Instructions

Raw silk is rich and structured by nature — it holds its shape beautifully, but the zari work needs gentle care to keep its shine.

Dry Clean Only — do not machine or hand wash
Iron on low heat, always on the reverse side, avoiding direct heat on the zari border
Store folded in muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the softness of the mauve tone and shine of the gold
Refold periodically along different lines to prevent permanent creasing
Handle with care to avoid snagging the zari work on jewellery or rough surfaces
Avoid direct contact with perfume or deodorant — spray well before draping
Blouse piece: Dry wash only
