Product Details

There is a shade of purple that lives only in a single moment of a flower's life — the instant before the mango blossom opens, when the bud is still folded tight and flushed deep magenta-violet, heavy with the promise of the fruit to come. The old Sanskrit poets called this bud-cluster Manjari, and it appears again and again in verse as a symbol of anticipation — beauty caught just before it unfurls.

This saree carries that same held breath. Woven in rich magenta-purple Georgette Khaddi, the fabric holds a fine, structured texture that drapes with quiet confidence — neither too stiff nor too fluid, but exactly poised between the two. Across the body, a Bandhani-inspired zari lattice unfolds in warm peach-gold — diamond bound to diamond, a pattern born from the tie-and-dye tradition of Kutch and Rajasthan, here rendered in metallic thread rather than resist-dye, so the geometry gleams rather than glows.

The border runs wide and unbroken in peach-gold zari brocade, a warm frame against the deep purple ground, while the pallu deepens into solid magenta richness, dense with gold medallion motifs and finished with delicate hand-tied tassels — a soft, ornamented close to an otherwise structured saree.

This is a saree for the woman who carries anticipation like grace — the kind of purple that feels like a moment just before something beautiful begins.

Pair with antique gold, polki, or rose gold jewellery. A contrasting blouse in black, midnight blue, or gold — as styled here — brings out the richness of the purple beautifully.

Dry Clean Only — do not machine or hand wash
Iron on low-medium heat, always on the reverse side; avoid direct heat on the zari lattice and border
Store folded in muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the depth of the purple and the shine of the gold zari
Refold periodically along different lines to prevent permanent creasing
Handle the tasseled pallu edge gently to prevent tangling or pulling
Avoid direct contact with perfume, deodorant, or water — spray fragrance well before draping
Blouse piece (if included): Dry wash only
