If hand-washing, use cold water with mild detergent; wash separately from other garments
Avoid soaking for extended periods
Wash inside out to protect the border and pallu motifs
Do not wring — gently squeeze out excess water
Dry in shade, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the bright yellow shade
Iron on low-medium heat, preferably from the reverse side, avoiding direct contact with zari
Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture
Refold along different lines periodically to prevent permanent crease marks
