Swarnalata — Pure Tissue Silk Saree with Hand Embroidered Floral Vine

Swarnalata — a golden creeper — is drawn from the image of vines that climb slowly, quietly, gathering light as they grow. There is nothing loud about this saree's beauty; it reveals itself gradually, the way a creeper unfurls leaf by leaf, flower by flower, until the whole surface is alive with delicate movement.

Woven in pure tissue silk, the fabric carries a warm bronze-beige hue with a soft, molten sheen — the kind of shimmer that shifts gently with every fold of light. Scattered across the body, fine gold beadwork sits like dew caught mid-morning, while a hand-embroidered floral vine winds its way across the lower half of the saree — slender stems in zardozi and bead work branching into leaves and blossoms, culminating in richly detailed rose motifs built up in layered sequins, cutdana, and pearl centres.

The border and pallu deepen into a dense, hand-loomed zari jaal — an intricate floral lattice worked entirely in tonal gold, giving the pallu a quiet richness that catches the eye without ever overwhelming it. A neat gold scalloped edge finishes the piece with understated grandeur.

This is a saree for the woman who prefers her elegance unhurried — one who lets her presence unfold the way a vine does, slowly, and entirely on her own terms.

Pair with antique gold or pearl jewellery for a refined, festive look. A contrasting blouse in deep maroon, bottle green, or chocolate brown will let the floral embroidery and zari pallu take centre stage.

Care Instructions

Tissue silk is delicate and lustrous by nature — light in the hand, but the embroidery and zari work need gentle care to keep their shine.

Dry Clean Only — do not machine or hand wash
Iron on low heat, always on the reverse side, avoiding direct heat on embroidered areas
Store folded in muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the richness of the tone and shine of the gold
Refold periodically along different lines to prevent permanent creasing of the sheer fabric
Handle with care to avoid snagging on sequins, beadwork, or jewellery
Avoid direct contact with perfume or deodorant — spray well before draping
Blouse piece: Dry wash only
