SAREE5

Product Details

anashree — the splendour of the forest — is a name drawn from the old imagination of India's green places, where emerald canopies meet blooming water lilies and life moves in slow, deliberate grace. This saree carries that same lush spirit, its deep forest green catching light like sunlit leaves, its border blooming in warm antique gold.

Woven in pure tissue silk, the fabric holds its signature glow — sheer, lightweight, and gently luminous, with subtle watercolour-like shading running through the green that gives the body a sense of movement, almost like light filtering through dense foliage. Fine gold beadwork is scattered across the surface, quiet and evenly placed, while along the hem, the traditional Gajanandi motif rises in hand-embroidered gold and silver beadwork — pairs of elephants facing one another, trunks entwined around blooming pink lotus blossoms. This age-old motif symbolizes prosperity, strength, and auspicious beginnings, making it a favoured design for festive and ceremonial wear.

The border and pallu unfold in a rich antique gold zari jaal, its dense floral lattice framed by scalloped medallion detailing, edged with a soft ivory tasselled trim that lends the piece a quiet, festive elegance.

This is a saree for the woman who carries the forest's calm strength — one who finds her richness not in loudness, but in depth.

Pair with antique gold jewellery, kundan, or emerald-toned stones for a festive look. A contrasting blouse in gold, maroon, or ivory will let the Gajanandi motif and zari pallu take centre stage.

Care Instructions

Tissue silk is delicate and lustrous by nature — light in the hand, but the embroidery and zari work need gentle care to keep their shine.

Dry Clean Only — do not machine or hand wash
Iron on low heat, always on the reverse side, avoiding direct heat on embroidered areas
Store folded in muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the richness of the green and shine of the gold
Refold periodically along different lines to prevent permanent creasing of the sheer fabric
Handle with care to avoid snagging on sequins, beadwork, or jewellery
Avoid direct contact with perfume or deodorant — spray well before draping
Blouse piece: Dry wash only
